Are you UMC clergy? Do you support “genuine” immigration reform? The General Board of Church & Society of the UMC are trying to get signatures for a letter to Congress.
From their website:
Bishops and clergy of The United Methodist Church will sign the accompanying letter imploring members of Congress to immediately take legislative action that provides genuine solutions for the broken U.S. immigration system. Many United Methodist churches minister with and among immigrant communities. Thus, we daily witness firsthand the fear and uncertainty that so many immigrant families are forced to live under.
Something must be done now to fix the immigration system. The bishops and clergy look to members of Congress to ignore the political paralysis and to provide real solution-based reforms.
