Friday, May 9

7:00 pm: Sisterhood Shabbat Service with Sermon by Koreena Malone.
Refreshments and discussion to follow. Temple Beth Shalom will staff tables describing the Social Action and Social Justice efforts of the congregation.
Koreena Malone created a tenants association and led the effort with Austin Interfaith, the City of Austin and the new owner/developer to save 173 units of affordable housing
while enabling the developer to add 314 market rate units.

Saturday, May 10,

10:15 am – 1:00 pm: Civic Academy on new Austin10 -1 City Council format. Are you satisfied that your City, County, and Schools
address needs of your family? We’ll learn how to make a difference and develop action plans.

    University Methodist and by all the folks who benefit from the affordable housing.
