Reinvested Communities is a new leadership training created by The Texas Inmate Families Association and the Texas Interfaith Center for Public Policy. The training brings formerly incarcerated individuals, people of faith, and families with an incarcerated loved one together to learn how to reduce barriers to reentry.
Participants will attend a weekend training on August 22-24 that covers subjects including a Know Your Rights overview, Power Mapping, and Storytelling for Social Change. Graduates will become a part of a new group of leaders committed to breaking down barriers to successful reentry in Austin.
Space is limited. We are offering this free opportunity to formerly incarcerated individuals, families, and people of any faith. Click here to complete a quick application today. We will offer bus fare, childcare, and meals.
The Reinvested Communities Austin Weekend Intensive Training will be held at Parker Lane United Methodist Church located at 2105 Parker Lane, Austin, TX 78741.
