Austin’s Energy: Where Does It Come From Now?

Our friends at Congregational Church of Austin, UCC invite the University UMC community to join them in an afternoon of learning about Austin’s energy sources.

Austin’s Energy: Where does it come from now?
Where will it come from in the future?
Do you know how Austin Energy generates the electricity you use? What percentage comes from coal, gas, wind, and solar? Do you know what ERCOT is? How will Austin Energy generate electricity ten years from now? Will Austin invest in more renewables, or a new gas-fired plant? Can Austin achieve zero carbon emissions by 2030?
Come listen, discuss, and learn.
